This is our first blog following the unexpected passing of our Principal, Melusine Draco, exactly one year ago today.
The Coven has had a year to hunker down and adjust to the new dynamic, and the Dame and Magister have settled in to their joint role as Principals of the Coven of the Scales and the Esoteric Order of the Serpent. Melusine, meanwhile, has taken her place amongst the Ancestors, but is still giving the rest of us what for, as and when required!
Despite rumours to the contrary, the Coven is very much up and running, just keeping in the shadows, which is how we like it to be. You won't see us much on social media, but those that need to know where to find us will know where to look! One of our basic tenets is "Keep it Secret, Keep it Safe," and in today's world this is just as important as in times gone by.
Melusine also ran the Temple of Khem, which was a project very close to her heart, the Egyptian Path being her original calling. We're very pleased to announce that one of our Elders, Martha Gray, a High Priestess of the Temple, will now be its Head.
This is a short post, just to let everyone know that the Coven is still going strong and practising British Traditional Old Craft as before. We'll be posting further as the Wheel of the Year turns, but in the meantime, we would like to wish you all a happy and healthy 2025!
